Online Courses are one of the most favored learning methods nowadays. They are the number-one-choice for many learners considering that online courses are:

  • Easy to digest (you can learn at your own pace)
  • Taught by industry experts
  • Highly valued by recruiters if certified (some online courses can be an equivalent to a college course)

But these courses can be super expensive. In this blog post I will give you 4 HACKS that you can implement RIGHT NOW in order to access ONLINE COURSES for FREE.

These hacks work worldwide too.

Facebook groups:

Someone once said that finding the right Facebook group is way better than finding unattended money on the ground. I totally agree!

Becoming a member of a niche Facebook group will give you the chance to ask specialists for free advice anytime you struggle.

There was a time when I wanted to learn about project management, so I join a Facebook group about that.

I was practically a ghost member there, I never posted anything, but I learned a lot about project management just by being a member of that Facebook group:

The senior PMs (project managers) would ALWAYS give free professional advice to the newbies. Many would share online course coupons and free certification programs in project management. Others would share about how they got their first job with those free certificates and there were always posts about job opportunities for PMs.

The group was a private one, it had very helpful tips and many industry experts were active members in it. I would’ve never found that much knowledge about project management elsewhere.

Websites and newsletters:

There are many websites that search through the web for free online courses and coupons for you. These websites specialize in deals.

You can install web extensions that find coupons for you. I suggest the web extension Honey. the latter is a free browser extension that automatically finds and applies coupons at checkout. You can set up Honey with a few clicks.

You can also subscribe to the newsletters of these coupon websites so that you don’t miss out on any deals.

Follow online course instructors on social media:

If you happen to know any online coaches or instructors consider following them online.

Follow them on Instagram, Twitter, Facebook YouTube and LinkedIn. Everywhere!

I once got 2 free certified public speaking courses from a very famous public speaking coach. (the courses usually cost a lot of money too!)

The promo code was announced via an Instagram story on the personal account of that coach. These certificates helped boost my resume, and they also helped me learn life changing tips on how to become a better public speaker.

Additionally, many instructors would offer free courses in return for subscribing to their newsletter or to simply increase the displayed number of the online course students. I once jumped on free live and interactive one-to-one webinars that I found on YouTube.

Follow online course companies and watch out for sales:

One of my favorite online learning platforms are Udemy, LinkedIn Learning, Skillshare and Coursera.

Following these companies on social media and subscribing to their newsletters will help you find many great deals.

These online learning companies are regular businesses after all. They definitely want to find new learners and make them sign up to their websites.

As a result they almost always have ongoing deals and sales all year especially during the holidays’ season.

Also, these online learning businesses usually have “scholarships” for students or for people that can’t afford buying some of the online courses. You should definitely check that out if you are unable to pay for your online course.

These were my best hacks to save money on online courses.

Keep investing in yourself!
